Reversible USB announced

Ever experience the annoyance of your usb connections not going in? You flip it over, and it still doesn’t go in, then you flip it again, and somehow this time it fits.

Well, the next version of USB, USB 3.1 will allow you to use it either way round. It will also be smaller, allowing devices to be made thinner. Often, when you look at the side of devices, they are only as thick as the usb ports that they contain, so a universally smaller yet faster port would be a good move towards thinner and lighter devices.
