Intel’s voice recognition will blow Siri out of the water—because it doesn’t use the cloud

This story excites me a lot, because I’ve tried google’s voice recognition. It’s just about passable, but definitely not something I would want to regularly use. It’s often slow to access, and doesn’t always work because it requires you to speak to it using specific commands, since it hasn’t been designed to respond to just anything you ask it. When I see Jarvis in the Iron Man films, I’ve always thought that something as complex as that is still as far away as a fully functioning iron man suit would be, however a CPU featuring intelligent conversation would be a great step forward to achieving something like that.
Unfortunately, if this sort of technology is limited to intel powered smartphones, many people would have to wait until they get a new phone until they can start using it, however, by the time it comes out, this may no longer be a big issue.
